An early variety for spring or autumn, even summer for the northern zone. Golden blond, shiny, wavy, blistered foliage. Well-groomed apple, light green, firm, voluminous and crunchy. Variety tolerant to diseases. Good conservation after harvest and excellent taste quality.
Batavia Lettuce seeds are sown indoors or under cover from February to April. Or directly in place from April. Dig furrows 0.50cm deep to sow the seeds. Sow in a fairly clear line then cover the seeds with finely crumbled soil. Lead with the back of a rake and keep the soil well moist until emergence. Easy to grow, the plant appreciates rich, cool and sunny soil. It also grows very well in pots.
