From the same family as the Tétragone, but native to the South African coast, here is another leafy vegetable particularly well adapted to the heat of summer. And original in addition: the plant is covered with a multitude of small transparent vesicles, like dew pearls. The raw, slightly tart leaves are very good in salads. The cooked stems and leaves are eaten like spinach.
